Rashtriya Military Schools (RMS) are a group of prestigious boarding schools in India, functioning under the Ministry of Defence. Rashtriya Military Schools were originally founded to educate the sons of defense personnel. In 1952, these schools became open to civilians and were renamed Military Schools in 1966. They were later renamed Rashtriya Military Schools in 2007 to emphasize their national importance.
